The Canton Fair—officially known as the China Import and Export Fair—is often called "China’s No. 1 Trade Fair," having first launched in 1957. This year marks its 140th session and its 70th anniversary. It is not a retail marketplace for domestic consumers, but rather a venue where global buyers connect directly with Chinese manufacturers.

At each booth, samples are displayed; foreign buyers can examine, touch, inquire about, and discuss the products, placing orders if they find a match, or moving on to the next supplier if they don’t.

This year’s fair is being held in Guangzhou from October 15 to November 4—a 21-day event divided into three phases:

Phase 1 (October 15–19) – Advanced Manufacturing: Home appliances, consumer electronics, industrial automation, new energy vehicles, automotive parts and accessories, hardware and tools, new materials, and chemical products.

Phase 2 (October 23–27) – Quality Living (Home & Decor): Ceramics for daily use, kitchenware and tableware, glassware, building and decorative materials, bathroom fixtures, furniture, and prefabricated housing.

Phase 3 (October 31 – November 4) – Better Living (Lifestyle & Leisure): Toys, textiles and apparel, pharmaceuticals and healthcare, food products, personal care items, and sports and outdoor gear.

In short, the key themes for this year’s fair are: innovation, sustainability (going green), and intelligence.

Founded in 2000, Shanghai Shuode Building Materials Co., Ltd. is one of the earliest domestic manufacturers of polyurethane (PU) foam sealants in China. In 2015, the company established Shandong Shuode Technology Co., Ltd., which operates a 50,000-square-meter, highly automated, state-of-the-art production facility. The company has an annual production capacity of 80 million cans of PU foam sealant, as well as 60 million cans of automotive care products and aerosol spray paints, making it one of the largest manufacturers in the industry in China. Furthermore, Shuode Technology emphasizes diversified development, having independently researched and launched a range of products including silicone sealants, nail-free adhesives, and tile grout sealers. The company has successfully obtained ISO 9001 Quality Management System certification, ISO 14001 Environmental Management System certification, and the French A+ VOC emission rating. For this exhibition, Shuode Technology has curated a comprehensive product portfolio tailored to the demands of the global construction and retail markets. This includes: expanding foam, which fills gaps with high-efficiency expansion and strong adhesion—ideal for door and window installation as well as pipe sealing—ensuring a seamless, protective barrier; silicone sealant, characterized by its crystal-clear, flexible, and weather-resistant properties, as well as its waterproof and anti-mold capabilities—perfect for bathroom fixtures and countertop joints, offering a clean, smooth finish that balances aesthetics with utility; and tile grout, which features vibrant colors, high wear resistance, and stain resistance—designed to refine the joints between tiles and stone, ensuring clean, crisp lines that prevent dirt accumulation and elevate the overall sophistication of a space. Leveraging the Canton Fair as a strategic platform, Shuode Technology has effectively aligned high-end, customized "Made in China" solutions with the specific needs of the global market. Through its exceptional product quality, the company has met the rigorous selection criteria of international buyers, standing out as a source of pride for the Chinese adhesive industry at the exhibition.
